here's an amazing story i want to share with you readers... i was chit chatting wif my dearest sister over lunch the other day n i don't know how we get into that topic but anyhow, here's the story of a 15 years old chinese girl living in subang... she's my sis's batch-mate... not in the same class however... so what's so amazing with her? well, i was so impressed with her interest in ISLAM...
me : a chinese girl??
sis : ya, she said to us that she wants to revert ( i prefer to use revert than convert) to Islam by the age 18..
me : oh really? y? how did she become interested in islam?
sis : we dun really know ourselves... but it's not a new thing for us... we know bout this since forever... urmm... i think it was because she is involved in debating... a lot... maybe when she did her research... i dunno...
me : oh... kay... so y didn't she revert now n wait till 18?
sis : her parents..
me : her parents doesn't allow her?
sis : nope... they r cool with it... in fact her family doesn't eat pork, or drink, or apa2 amalan jahiliyyah la... the reason they gave her was because they feel like she will be way left out in subjek agama islam... so they were afraid that she will not score in pmr n even spm... so she accept it..
me : oh okay..
sis : kakak nak tau x? during pkbm camp.. she was the only chinese girl that attended it... and what's cool is that she was the only one that wore tudung among the girls... n the other girls were all malay...
me : (terkedu)
sis : she really likes to wear tudung... jez that sometimes she would feel weird to wear tudung in moral classes
me : ....
sis : in fact she knows how to pronounce kalimah syahadah.. n she already pronounce it.. jez that maybe she doesn't make it official n with the presence of saksi n so on... heck, i don't even know the procedure...
me : wow, what a girl... it means that she really understand islam la kan... if not, what for she wants to revert, ryte? then, does she consult any ustazah or ustaz , you know, to consult her if she has any questions..
sis : i dunno.. maybe... i dun have the chance to talk much with her...
me : oh... then find a chance la.... u n your friends actually have the responsibility to help her, you know that?
sis : he...
so, u see... hidayah tu memang milik Allah kan... sape2 je boleh dpt... dgn izin Dia... let's hope Allah tetapkan hati dia dlm Islam...
