Kapal layar : Sebuah tadabur alam

Salam wbt.
Bismillah.
Pantai dan laut. Antara tempat yang diminati untuk dilawati tiap kali pulang ke tanah air. Ada banyak bangunan dan tempat yang kita lawati setiap kali bercuti. Tapi untuk saya, terbukti setiap kali, berinteraksi dengan alam itu yang paling diminati.
Minda terbawa jauh kepada jaulah di bumi andalusia, Spain dan Portugal cuti musim sejuk lepas. Setelah berhari-hari menghadap bangunan yang hebat seperti Masjid Besar Cordova dan Al-Hambra, ternyata hati kami paling gembiiiiraaa sekali ketika melihat hidupan laut yang pelbagai di Oceanarium dan ketika menghirup udara segar cliff yang curam di Cabo da Roca, the westernmost end of Europe.
Berinteraksi dengan alam. Dan kini kaki ini berada di pantai. Ditemani air laut yang sentiasa menjadi teman setia si pantai. 
Beberapa catamaran sedang berlayar di lautan. Membelah air laut yang tenang. Layarnya tegak menentang sang angin. Sesekali sang pengemudi menukar arah layar mengikut rentak tiupan angin.

Hari-hari Dalam Hidupku

Buku tulisan Zainab Al-Ghazali ni sudah lama masuk di dalam 'to read' list. Akhirnya pada tahun akhir pengajian di Russia berjaya juga dibaca. It is certainly a page turning book. Buku ini mengisahkan perjalanan hidup Zainab Al-Ghazali dengan bertumpukan kisah menjelang Zainab Al-Ghazali hendak dipenjarakan dan kisahnya sepanjang dipenjarakan.
Disclaimer : Post kali ini bukan bertujuan untuk menceritakan sinopsis buku hari - hari dalam hidupku. Saya hendak menceritakan beberapa point yang sangat terkesan di hati daripada kisah Zainab Al-Ghazali in sha Allah.
Siapa?
Beliau adalah wanita yang menubuh dan memimpin Jamaah Muslimat di Mesir. Beliau akhirnya memberi baiat kepada Imam Syahid Hassan Al Banna dalam menggembleng tenaga beliau dan Jemaah Muslimat ke arah menegakkan hak hakimiyyah Allah di muka bumi.

Classic Cheesecake

Salam wbt. Bismillah.
This wil be a quick one. InsyaAllah i wil edit this post back as soon as i have some time in hand. For now, i'll just describe it as simple as i can. It's for a friend who I promised a long time ago to put up this post. So this one is for you. And a very big apology for this very late update.
This recipe is taken from Martha Stewart Classic Cheesecake recipe. [link] And some added alteration from my part to suit my taste.

Bahan-bahan
Untuk crust 5 sudu besar butter 1 1/2 pack Biskut marie brand lubyotovo (bukan spt di dlm gambar) 3/4 cawan gula secubit garam
Untuk filling 2 1/2 kotak 400g Viola cream cheese  1 1/2 cawan gula 1 sudu kecil grated orange (mandarin) zest plus 1 tablespoon fresh orange (mandarin) juice 4 biji telur 1 cawan smetana (sour cream) 1 teaspoon vanila essence secubit garam

Shepard's pie

Ingredients

Meat part :
2 Chicken breast ( cut into small pieces)
Capsicum (green,yellow,red- 1/2 each)
2 Carrot (grated)
1 big onion
3 cloves garlic
Ground black pepper
Soy sauce
Salt and sugar to taste

Potato part :
1 packet instant potato puree ( yes, i cheated a lot of time here)
Butter
Grated cheese
Salt

Egg Yolk (for finishing touch)

1. Sautee onion and garlic. Put in chicken and carrot. Then black pepper, soy sauce and salt to taste.
2. Add in capsicum in the last 5 minutes of cooking because it has a very strong taste. And we don't want that. unless u like it otherwise.
3. Boil water and mix the instant potato puree. Add in as much butter and cheese you want. Add salt.
4. Assemble the dish by putting the meat part first into a casserole dish ware. Then put in the potato. Glazed the top of potato with egg yolk. Fork the potato a bit to create a wavy appearence. The tip of the wave will brown after baking.
5. Bake in oven for about 20-30 minutes at 200 degree celcius.

Shortbread cookies

the only changes i made are the topping.. instead of using chocolate bar and vegetable shortening, i use susu pekat (what is susu pekat in english??help me) instead.

nice sunny fresh holiday morning is never complete without oh so fluffy fluffy pancakes...... and a good 'ol cup of hot cocoa!

RECIPE FOR FLUFFY PANCAKES

Flour – 1 cup or about 180 gm

Baking powder – 2 teaspoon

Bicarbonate of soda – a pinch

salt – a pinch

sugar – 2 tablespoons

Mix dry ingredients above in a bowl. Make a well.

Add in

One egg – beat

Milk – about 1 cup or 200 ml (I used fresh milk with some vanilla flavour)

1 tablespoon oil – preferable olive oil

Mix or whisk the batter until there are no lumps. Leave to stand for 30 minutes or until bubbles form on the surface.

Use a non-stick pan and fry. Do not use any oil.

Pour a huge tablespoon and leave for a while until bubbles burst and form tiny holes. Flip over and brown the other side.

Easy No-Bake Cappucino Cheese cake

Ingredients

A
450gr cream cheese
3 egg yolk
1/2 cup sugar
3 tbs water
2 tbs gelatin
1 cup whipped cream
1 sachet of instant cappuccino

B
30 pcs of biscuits (marie)
1/2 cup of butter
3 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder

Steps
1. Crush the biscuits into fine pieces (or i usually prefer not-so-fine, less crumbly) then add butter n cocoa powder. Mix n press into your cake pan or any container you are using. Let cool in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
2. On a double boiler, whisk egg yolk, then add sugar and cappuccino mix. Remove from heat.
3. In another pan, dissolve gelatin in the water until boiling.
4. In another container, whisk cream cheese and whipped cream. Add the egg mix and the dissolved gelatin.
5. Pour mixture onto your cake base which had been cooled in the refrigerator. Let chill overnight. And ready to be eaten!!

Strawberry Trifle

Assalamualaikum

it's strawberry season in Moscow. spring is here and everyone's fighting for time to have their picnic and bbq. for those who don't know what to bring, this might be a good idea. have fun = )





Ingredients
Strawberries (cut into 4)
Agar-agar (or jelly)
Swiss role

Milk+Custard Powder+sugar or Store-bought(Ready made) whipped cream

Steps
1. Prepare agar-agar. Red makes a great colour for combination with the fruit we are using.
2. If you are using custard cream> boil milk+sugar. stir 3 tbspoon of custard powder in cold water and add to boiled milk. stir. let it sit in room temperature until reaching creamy consistency.
3. Cut the cake into preferred size.. arrange as first layer
4. Arrange strawberry as second layer. try to arrange the one at the side of the glass to make it look presentable.
5. pour custard filling or whipped cream as third layer.
6. repeat layers to your preferences.
7. Chill before eating. It makes such a good dessert if serves cold.

Diari Musim Sejuk 2013 : Hari 6 - 18

Hari 6  ( 1 Jan ) : Furqan dikunjungi adik-adik tahun 1 untuk daurah pertama mereka.
Hari 7 ( 2 Jan ) : Memasak bersama ukhti Emy untuk program Snowboarding Trip by AZAM Russia. Alhamdulillah cuaca nya tidak terlalu sejuk buat snowboarder first timer. Buat yang terjatuh, terjelepuk, terbaring, i'm sure you had a good time. Tambah best lagi jika pergi dengan niat yang betul *peace*
Hari 8 ( 3 Jan ) : Berbulatan gembira bersama usrati. Dan impromptu dinner date with ex-mutarabbi at sushi restaurant. Dapat juga makan sushi sebelum pulang Malaysia. (I'm a happy kid ^_^) Subhanallah Allah cipta banyaaak sangat jenis makanan yang kita boleh makan. Rahmat Allah di bumi yang tak biarkan manusia hidup hanya dengan satu jenis makanan. Kerana manusia fitrahnya cepat bosan, cepat lupa. Jadi Allah cipta macam-macam untuk kita ingat pada dia.

Hari 9 ( 4 Jan ) : Persiapan akhir sebelum program AZAM Russia.
Hari 10 - 12 ( 5 - 7 Jan ) : Program 'Training' Fasilitator AZ…
